The Plainfield Central High School Bands and the PCHS Band Boosters are excited to host the Plainfield Invitational Concert Band Festival (PICBF) on Saturday, March 12th, 2022! This year’s festival will be open to the first 26 bands that apply and will be scheduled according to the order of applications received in addition to the director’s preference of performance time. At this time, all bands will be scheduled to perform in the Auditorium!
PICBF is a non-competitive festival where the focus is on growth rather than competition and ranking. Every ensemble will receive written and recorded commentary from a panel of three evaluators and a clinic with one of those three evaluators as well as a ‘clean’ recording of their performance from Don Harkins Recording.
While we know you’ll want to bring many of your own percussion accessories to compliment your performance selections, PICBF provides a full complement of percussion equipment that you may use for the festival to minimize what needs to be packed and transported. Please plan to bring your own implements to play all percussion instruments, but we’ll have some equipment there for backup “just in case”.
As confirmation of your participation, you will receive an invoice at the provided email address to use to process payment with your school’s business office.
First Ensemble Registration: $300 / ensemble
Additional Ensembles: $250 / ensemble
