Thank you for your interest in the inaugural Plainfield School District 202 Summer Jazz Camp. We plan to offer an engaging and fun summer learning and performing opportunity to students throughout PSD202’s band programs. The camps will be led by Mr. Shawn Maxwell who is the jazz band director at Plainfield Central High School. Additional staff may be hired if warranted by enrollment.
Both middle and high school students will have rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays in June and July. Middle School jazz band will be from 6:00-7:30 PM and High School jazz bands will be earlier in the day (info below). We’re planning to have two performances as well on June 27th and July 25th in Plainfield (details will be posted once finalized).
