In order to receive the $25 discount, a check (payable to PCHS Band Boosters) needs to be received by June 1st. The check can be for $175 which includes the early payment discount. The check can be turned in the green box (outside of Mr. Vanderwall's office - ask any band student and they will tell you where it is) or mailed to: PCHS Band Boosters PO Box 561 Plainfield, IL 60544 DO NOT MAIL TO THE SCHOOL OR TURN IN AT THE OFFICE. IT WILL NOT MAKE ITS WAY TO US!
Band Booster Board - Secretary Opening
We are still in need of a secretary for the PCHS Band Boosters. Responsibilities of the position include coordinating volunteers, answering booster emails from parents, recording minutes at meetings, and organizing the documents of the PCHS Band Boosters. Please contact Mr. Vanderwall or the Band Boosters if you are able/willing to fill this position!
NEXT MEETING DATE: THURSDAY, MAY 30TH, 7:00 PM, BAND ROOM
If we are unable to find a Secretary by May 30th, we will have to move into the process of dissolving the Band Boosters. You can print it, show it on your mobile device, or just tell the order taker that, "I'm here for the PCHS Band Fundraiser" and they'll count it toward our total. Monday, May 27th Memorial Day Ceremony/Performance 9:00 AM - Students load large instruments into PCHS Band Trailer Every student is responsible for THEIR OWN instrument that day and no one should assume their instrument will just arrive over at IJMS on its own! 10:00 AM - Assemble at Ira Jones Middle School for Parade on Ottawa Street (15320 W, Wallin Dr, Plainfield, IL 60544) 10:30 AM - Parade Steps Off Eastbound on Ottawa towards Settler's Park 11:00 AM - Ceremony Begins 12:00 PM - Ceremony Concludes at Settler's Park, Load Equipment into Trailer, walk back to PCHS 12:15 PM - Approximate pickup time back at PCHS Parents may pick students up directly from Settler's Park, but it will likely be very congested as a pickup point for the other two bands as well so I would suggest pickup at PCHS. Additionally, all have been invited to attend a cookout at Marne Post 13 following the ceremony (24741 W. Renwick Road, Plainfield, IL 60544). Uniform for the day is gym shoes, khaki shorts, and their black PCHS Band t-shirt. Students may wear sunglasses if desired. Boosters have some remaining inventory of black band shirts. Please see Mr. Vanderwall if you need to purchase a new shirt. Wearing a different shirt is NOT okay. Wearing THIS uniform is the alternative to being in our marching uniforms.
